Here's the dress I made for myself for prom. : D I made three others for my friends, and ended up biting off more than I could chew. D; But I'm really happy with how they turned out. ^^
I wanted something more elegant than I usually wear (I wear a lot of bright and obnoxious colors xD) but also something not so prom-like as the dresses people buy from Sparkles.
I didn't have any exact idea in mind so I ended up just buying a bunch of chiffon and seeing what would happen. xD I bought them in colors that matched the parasol fabric (which I was planning on making a corset out of) and was going to make an underdress to go with it. After I realized I wouldn't be able to survive the night in the corset, however, that idea changed. So I ended up making a dress with the parasols as the bodice instead (the whole dress is one piece).
I made it by heavily modifying Vogue's V2880 pattern. :]
Much thanks to ~EvaMayha for taking such beautiful photos for me. We both got extremely bit up by mosquitoes by our afternoon in the forest preserve. ._.
